COTRI China Outbound Tourism Research Institute forecasts 125 million outbound travels originating in China from July 2014 – June 2015. Not only is the number of Chinese going abroad increasing, but they are travelling more and more in different ways and to a growing number of destinations. COTRI and its COTRI Country Partners are offering twelve hours of online information about the development and trends of the Chinese market in different countries around the globe on September 24, 2014. The webinar is free of charge and open to everybody interested in the Chinese market. "China Welcome Global Webinar" is organized by COTRI together with the media companies Dragon Trail Interactive and gbtimes.
The COTRI Country Partner companies are offering insights into the specific experiences with Chinese visitors in their countries in the form of interviews, presentations, and discussions. Participants in the Welcome China Global Webinar will also have the opportunity to ask questions directly to the organizers during the event.
In 2013, 98 million Chinese arrivals were recorded travelling abroad, and for 2014 a further growth rate of 18% is expected. Beyond the numbers there is however a need to understand the ongoing differentiation of the needs and expectations of the market segments and the developments in countries as different as New Zealand and Kenya or Australia and Finland.
The Welcome China Global Webinar will highlight the most successful measures and Best Practice examples put in place by governments and by service providers to attract Chinese tourists. It will show how a destination can get ready to welcome these high-spending but demanding travellers.
