Dragon Hostel Hong Kong

For budget conscious travellers in Hong Kong, Dragon Hostel located in the heart of Mong Kok is a good place to stay. If you can afford better, like comfortable dorms and friendly service though, stay else where.

Location & Getting There
The best way to get to the Dragon Hostel is to catch the MTR on the Tsuen Wan line to Mong Kok station and leave the station using the D2 exit which is on Argyle Street. The hostel is around a block to the east. The two entrances leading up to the hostel are not on Argyle Street. They are just around the corners on Tung Choi St and Fa Yuen Street.

Rates, bookings and availability
The cheapest rates are HK$105 for a bed in a four person dorm that holds a fifth person when the hostel is busy. The hostel does get busy on weekends so make sure you book in advance and book for as many nights as you need. The booking process is a little strange. You call them and organize a bed/room and they'll then email you a payment link where you pay by paypal or credit card.

Rooms & facilities
Like many cheap hostels in Hong Kong, the Dragon Hostel is a collection of converted apartments with bunk and double beds squeezed into them. The dorm facilities are extremely spartan with one power point for 4-5 people, no bed lights and a tiny shower/toilet separated from the dorm by a flimsy screen.

There is very basic luggage storage, two PC's for internet access in the lobby/lounge and basic wifi accessible from most rooms in the hostel.

The hostel does provide services such as Chinese visas and air tickets but these are over priced.

Staff
The staff speak good English, are good at collecting money and organising rooms and have bearable customer service.
