The Effects of China Train Tickets Rules

December 1st 2010, China Railway Ministry added new rules on Railway Passengers Transportation Rule. According to the new rules, if the passengers miss their train, their tickets will be useless. It means that once miss the train, ticket will not be changed to another which is for next train.

The new rules force the passengers to leave enough time to catch their train. Most People have known the new rules and the phenomenon of missing train is less than before. Mrs. Zhao left home and went to railway station with two hours in advance to avoid missing the train. "I understand the revision of the rules, it is good for us" She said.

However, some passengers comment that this revision should include the compensation of train arrival late. Mr. Lin from Nanjing suggested that "China Railway Ministry should consider about the interest of passengers, like what kind of compensation should brought to the passengers for arrival late."

On the other hand, the new rules include the conditions to buy student tickets. There are 3 conditions which students can not buy tickets were added. One, the student does not register to the discount of student tickets for his/her student ID in School. Two, the student discount card in the student ID does not have the stamp of School seal. Three, the student does not have student discount card or his/her card can't be recognized. Without a doubt, the rules of buying student discount tickets are much more sticker than before. It seems that it will be good to manager the student discount tickets selling. But many students in collages complain that the student discount card is not quality. The magnetism of the card will disappear by degrees and it results in being unrecognized by test machine. In that case, the students have to apply for a new one. It is definitely annoying.
