Purple Bamboo Park – or Zizhuyuan Park in Chinese, is one of the seven largest parks in Beijing. It is located in Haidian District of northwestern Beijing.
Covering an area of 47.35 hectares with three connecting lakes and two small islands, the lakes' eastern shores feature several small hills which were formed in the 12th century from earth dredged from the lakes to balance the natural hills on the west side.
