An exhibition about the Chinese Expeditionary Force (CEF), which fought in Burma during the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1937-1945), is being held in Handan, Hebei Province, from Aug. 26 to Sept. 25.
The exhibition focuses on the officers and soldiers from the Huangpu Military Academy, which was established in Guangzhou in 1924 by Dr. Sun Yat-sen with the help of the former Soviet Union and the Communist Party of China.
A total of 238 historical relics are displayed in 60 sections – including helmets, field gas stoves, telescopes and compasses – through which the war comes to life right before the visitors' eyes.
The CEF's efforts not only significantly contributed to the Global War against Fascism, but also marked the first time Chinese troops travelled to another country to fight the Japanese in coordination with other Allied Forces.
