Sichuan's Ruoergai Lake

Ruoergai county lies on the northeastern edge of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau, locked in the north of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province. Covering a vast area of 10,620 square kilometers, it has an average altitude of 3500 meters and average annual temperature of 1.1 degree celsius. The county has 12 ethnic groups, including Zang, Han, Hui, Qiang and so on, and Tibetans account for 91.5 percent of the population.
