Wonderful places to escape summer heat

Out of all the four seasons, summer has the most to offer to nature lovers. From beaches to bamboo forests, the outdoor options are endless.

Here we recommend 6 destinations where one can experience a typical Chinese summer setting.

Nanxi River, which is located in North Wenzhou, Zhejiang province, is famous for its clean water,rare rocks,waterfalls and ancient villages. The place is dubbed as the cradle of Chinese landscape painting.

If you believe there is a heaven, then visit Ruoergai Lake in Sichuan province. The lake's color is pure blue and dotted with various kinds of flowers. The lake is as picturesque as one can imagine, and June is the best time of the year to go there.

The bamboo sea consists of 28 ridges and peaks standing both high and low, and over 500 hills all densely covered with various kinds of bamboo.
