The move comes after a sixth case of the mosquito-borne disease was reported in the country.
The measures include monitoring incoming passengers and reinforcing staff training about the virus.
Cao Jianzhong, with the airport's inspection and quarantine bureau, says work to reduce the mosquito population at the airport is also underway.
"We have taken steps in vector control and prevention, such as strengthening environmental management by eliminating the breeding grounds of mosquitoes. This is mainly being carried out on the passenger boarding bridges and flower beds at the airport."
Authorities say the risk of Zika spreading is increasing due to the warmer weather.
Passengers arriving at the airport are required to undergo checks as a precautionary measure against the Zika virus.
Those arriving from affected areas need to pass the checks twice.
Officials say anyone whose body temperature is over 37.3 degrees Celsius will be taken to a testing center for further examination.
The inspections at the airport will be in place for a while.
