Asia is such a wonderful and magical continent, that it would be dumb not to consider it as a possible destination for a trip. Asian countries have lots of things to offer to us and they are certainly special and magnificent in lots of ways. With one of the biggest territories in the world, India is also famous for being the largest democracy in the world thanks to the incredible population number. India is a truly unique country located in South Asia and sharing borders with China, Nepal, Bhutan, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Myanmar, apart from having a long coastline bathed by the waters of the Indian Ocean. This country has always presented a mystical attraction to western civilizations and nowadays tourism is one of the most important economical activities of the country, with millions of tourists that arrive each day to discover its magic.
Indian trains are truly extended and important. They cross the entire country and in some specific regions become really dense in order to provide inhabitants and tourists the possibility of having access to lots of cities, towns and villages. Of course, one of the most important centers for train departures is the capital city of New Delhi. From there you have the Northern Railway, which connects Delhi with cities like Ambala, Patiala, Ludhiana, Firozpur, Shimia, Moradabad, Dehradun, Meerut and Amritsar among lots of others. The North Western Railway connects Delhi with Marwar, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Jaipur, Ajmer and Abu Road, while the North Eastern Railway gives you the possibility to go from Delhi to Faizabad, Kanpur, Kathgoda and Gorakhpur.
On the other hand, if you want to head to the south to enjoy some of the best coastal cities and the Indian Ocean, you can take the Southern Railway, which features the following stops: Calicut, Cochin, Allepey, Trivandrum, Tuticorin, Pondicherry, Chennai and Mangalore, but they are only a few of them. On the east coast you have East Coast, the East Central and the South Central Railways, which take you to numerous coastal areas such as Kakinada, Machilipatnam, Vizianagaram, Puri, Bhubaneshwar and Balasore.
Finally, on the west coast you have the Western, the Central, the Konkan and the South Western Railways that connect some amazing and important cities like Mumbai (the largest one in the country), Veraval, Rajkot, Surat, Pune, Ratnagiri, Madgaon, Vasco Da Gama, Karwar, Talguppa, Hassan, Bangalore and Miraj among many others.
Each Indian region has its own vast and dense train service and this is wonderful because you won't have any trouble when traveling from one city to the other. These trains offer you an amazing connection and we believe that because of this enjoying India by train is the best decision to make.
