The picturesque town of Zhenyuan in Guizhou Province offers a quiet retreat from city life. Located two hours east of the city of Kaili, Zhenyuan occupies a beautiful spot along the Wuyang River, nestled between rows of grassy hills. The ancient town has historic sites to browse and mountains to clamber up. The city has been developed with some tourist amenities, but hasn't yet been overrun by crowds.
Buses from Kaili to Zhenyuan run every two hours.
