Top Cities of China in European’s Eyes – Beijing, Lijiang and Kunming

Beijing

Beijing is the capital of the People's Republic of China's political, cultural and domestic-international exchange center, and is one of the world's historical and cultural cities and ancient capitals. As early as 70 million years ago, the Beijing Zhoukoudian area appeared the primitive community of Peking Man. Beijing was first found in the record in the name of Ji. October 1, 1949 the PRC was found, and Beijing became the capital of new China.

Lijiang

The old town Lijiang was located in the Lijiang Nazi Autonomous County, Yunnan Province, and southwest China. Lijiang old city, also known as Dayan Town, situated in the middle part of Lijiang Dam, is the only one city without city walls among the Chinese historical and cultural ancient cities.

Lijiang old city was built in the late Song and early Yuan dynasties (late 13th century). The ancient city is located in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, 2400 meters above the sea, a total city area of 3.8 square kilometers, and has always been known for the market and town.

Kunming

Kunming, capital city of Yunnan Province, with 2400 years of history, is the political, economic, cultural, technological and transportation center of Yunnan Province.

Kunming has beautiful natural scenery, many historical sites, year-round spring climate, long flowers bloom, and picturesque scenery seasons, known as Spring City and Flower City. Kunming has types of tourism facilities, is an international renowned tourist city, the national tourist resort and one of the first batch of China's outstanding tourist cities released by the State Council.
