Shi Wai Tao Yuan, also known as Shangri-La Park, is located in Yangshuo county, Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
It is famous for its beautiful karst scenery and the traditional customs of the Zhuang and other local ethnic minorities, which can make tourists feel far away from the turmoil of the world.
The name, meaning "land of peach blossoms," originated from the peaceful land described in an essay by Tao Yuanming, an idyllist of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (317-420).
