                Laojieling Scenic Area lies in the core area of the Funiu Mountain World Geological Park in Xixia County, Nanyang City of Henan Province.
Laojieling, listed as a national AAAA scenic spot, is known for its well-preserved primitive forest, picturesque natural scenery and rich biodiversity.
The 2212.5-meter-tall Jijiaojian Peak in the scenic area is the watershed between the Yangtze River and the Yellow River and the tallest peak in the Central Plains region of China.
