(CRI) China's leading travel service provider Ctrip.com on Tuesday announced its unaudited financial results for the first quarter ending on March 31, 2016.

The report of the company highlighted a net revenue of 4.2 billion yuan, or more than 637 million dollars, an increase of 80 percent year on year.

According to the data, the majority of the revenue came from accommodation reservations, which generated 1.6 billion yuan, or nearly 243 million dollars, an increase of 70 percent year on year, and transportation ticketing services at 1.9 billion yuan, or over 288 million dollars, an increase of 106 percent year on year.

James Liang, CEO of Ctrip, says the company will continue to focus on outbound travel, "Going forward, we plan to devote more resources to innovation and outbound travel to build a solid foundation for our sustainable long-term growth."
