Two Major Airports in Beijing to be Closed Temporarily on Sept 3

(CRI) Beijing Capital International Airport and Beijing Nanyuan Airport will be closed on September 3 from 9:30-12:30 pm due to the military parade to mark the 70th anniversary of the anti-Japanese war.

During these three hours, the air traffic control department will strictly manage the time schedule of fights in the Beijing area.

From today to September 3, Beijing will have limit the height at which flights can fly in the region due to security concerns. To relieve the pressure of air-traffic flow in the airport, Beijing plans to establish eight waiting areas in the surrounding regions.

According to the Beijing Airport Management Centre, any flying related sports, such as gliding, Paragliding, hot air balloons or flying aerospace models will also be banned in Beijing from August 22 to September 4.
