Tibetan mastiffs are seen at a breeding center in Lhasa, Tibet, August 6, 2015. The Tibetan Mastiff is a world famous and typical guardian dog species of Tibet.
In recent years, due to market disorder and cross breeding, the price of Tibetan mastiffs fell sharply.
However, with the aim to maintain the pure blood of the creature, a breeding center was jointly established with local farming science departments in Lhasa in 2015.
So far, 15 pure-blood heritage Tibetan mastiffs were raised at the breeding center.
