Massive Chinese Tour group Concludes Trip to France

(CRI) A group of 6,400 Chinese visitors invited by their boss has just concluded their 4-day holiday to France. The group is the biggest-ever of its kind to visit France.

The group members are employees of Chinese company Tiens, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The company was founded by Li Jinyuan, a billionaire listed on the Forbes rich list.

The group even formed a human chain saying "Tiens' dream is Nice" in the southern French resort town, which broke a world record for the biggest ever human chain.

The group spent 2 days in Paris and another 2 days in Nice. To accommodate the huge crowd, Li booked 140 hotels, which provided about 30,000 beds. He even bought 7,600 TGV tickets for the trip south to the Cote d'Azur, meaning extra trains had to be booked at Gare de Lyon.

A luxury department store in Nice even closed its doors to all other shoppers to welcome the massive Chinese tour group.

The huge group attracts attention from worldwide media. Li even met with the French foreign minister Laurent Fabius in Paris on May 5. The trip is seen as a huge bonus for the struggling French economy. According to a report by the Daily Mail on May 9, France is expected to have earned 33 million Euros from the all-expenses-paid staff trip.
